Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Self-Defense

Learn the basics of ground grappling, as well as self-defense techniques borrowed from other martial arts traditions. BJJ is a fighting style oriented around holds, joint locks, and using your opponents weight and momentum against them— techniques that work against bigger and stronger opponents. Learn to escape or engage any close-range confrontation. This class covers technique as well as conditioning and flexibility, followed by 30 minutes of rolling. Class occasionally goes until 9.
